Wellbeing Wednesday: April showers bring May flowers!

  • Manchester Museum Oxford Road Manchester, England, M13 9PL United Kingdom (map)

£2.88 | Book online

THE TOP FLOOR

Inspired by the spring flowers in our botany collections, this is your chance to get creative and make your own herbarium sheet or botanical illustration.

You’ll get a close up look at examples from our own collections, before getting hands-on in this crafting and illustration activity using tissue paper, colour pencils, felt pens and water based paints.

Wellbeing is linked to how we feel physically, mentally and emotionally, and a sense of wellbeing is strongly linked to life satisfaction and happiness. In short, functioning well and feeling good.

So we’re hosting a series of monthly events focused on helping you do something good for yourself.

Our Wellbeing Wednesday therapeutic workshops are themed around the Museum’s collections and provide a chance to relax while enjoying paper play, object-based drawing and making sessions.

All materials are provided but please bring along a waterproof bag to take your creations home.

This drop-in activity runs from 3-8pm on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Contact karen.brackenridge@manchester.ac.uk if you have any queries or questions.
