Human Natures launch event

FREE | Just drop in

EXHIBITION HALL, GROUND FLOOR

Join us to celebrate Earth Day and get a first look at our new exhibition, Human Natures.

You’ll have the chance to enjoy a music performance by students from Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and regular tours led by immersive theatre company Carnifølk.

This event is part of our regular Wednesday Lates programme and is open to all.

Human Natures asks whether we’re losing our connection with nature.

Using objects from the Museum’s natural history collection, the exhibition explores stories of overconsumption and overexploitation of animals, plants and minerals. It looks at the consequences this has for climate, biodiversity and people but it also shares inspiring examples of individuals and organisations taking action to live in balance with nature.
