THE TOP FLOOR
Combine creativity with traditional Chinese movements designed to help you adapt to the change in seasons.
Not only will you have the chance to design your own Autumn Equinox poster but you can learn movements suitable for autumn practice from senior tai chi qigong teacher Feixia Yu.
If you ever feel low or tired as the days become shorter in autumn, traditional Chinese ways of understanding seasonal change may help you adapt more naturally.
The ‘24 solar terms’ are based on the sun’s position and were originally created to guide agricultural activities and reflect changes in the seasons. More than just a calendar system, they offer a way of living in harmony with nature. Traditionally, people adjusted their diet, daily routines and activities according to each term.
All materials will be provided for your craft activity, which is available on a drop-in basis 3pm-8pm. Feixia Yu will demonstrate the Autumn movements 5.30-7pm.
Our Wellbeing Wednesdays events are relaxed, therapeutic workshops designed to support your wellbeing through arts and crafts activities inspired by the collections we care for.
