EXHIBITION HALL
Join makers from Kantamanto, the world's largest second-hand clothing market, to learn how to repurpose and refashion your old clothes.
Organised in collaboration with The Or Foundation, a non-profit working at the intersection of environmental justice, education and fashion development, this hands-on workshop will give you the chance to meet designers from Kantamanto such as KOMA, Dinnani and Khadis, as well as The Or Foundation’s remanufacturing lead.
Every week, Kantamanto's retailers, tailors and upcyclers process around 15 million pieces of second-hand clothing.
They'll show you how they breathe new life into old garments, transforming your unwanted shirts into skirts, dresses, hair accessories, tote bags, boxer shorts and more.
No experience needed — just bring an old shirt. Don't have one? We'll have spares on the night.
If you are bringing items of clothing along to this workshop, please ensure :
Items of clothes are washed, clean and dry
No fur, feather or wool items.
Human Natures
The story of The Or Foundation features in the Human Natures exhibition running until 1 November 2026. Human Natures explores stories of overconsumption and overexploitation of the animals, plants and landscapes on which we depend and the consequences this has for climate, biodiversity and people. It also shares inspiring examples of individuals and organisations taking action to live in balance with nature.
