A discussion about belonging, home and identity, as part of The Mothers’ Bridge of Love’s (MBL) Haha! Britain book tour.
MBL is a charity dedicated to reaching out and enriching the lives of Chinese children in all corners of the world and supporting Chinese children adopted into Western families to understand their cultural heritage.
Haha! Britain is a pioneering bilingual anthology, curated by MBL and River Cam Breeze, bringing together 42 Chinese authors to reflect on the joys, struggles, and cultural collisions of life in the UK.
This discussion, titled Finding Home in Britain: Belonging, Home and Identity, will be moderated by Dr Xiaobing Wang, Research Director at Manchester China Institute. They’ll be joined by Dr Qian Liu, Associate Professor at the University of Warwick and contributing author of Haha! Britain, and Shaosheen Jewel Quirk, host of the Not Made in China podcast and representative of MBL’s adoption dialogue programme.
