KANARIS THEATRE

Zoe Li, from The Juniper by the Sea, the UK’s first East and South East Asian bookshop, chairs a lively conversation between East and South East Asian (ESEA) writers.

It features Jenny Lau, a writer, community organiser and Chinese food cheerleader under the persona of Celestial Peach, which became a platform to tell stories about Chinese food in the diaspora, and the people and cultures behind it. Her debut non-fiction An A-Z of Chinese Food (Recipes Not Included) is not a recipe book, but a deliberate 'anti-glossary' - a delectable edible anthology that serves up Chinese flavour beyond just its taste.

She will be in conversation about her book and being British Chinese with Zoe Li, founder of the UK’s first East and Southeast Asian bookshop Juniper by the Sea and co-editor of magazine-anthology GOLDEN.
