SEMINAR ROOM, TOP FLOOR

In this Halloween special edition of Collection Bites, you will be transported back through time, as we look at how museums, and the increasing access to historical artefacts piqued the interest of Victorian authors to inspire some much loved gothic novels. You have a chance to get up close to some of these types of items yourself, and consider whether the Victorians’ obsession with gore, the macabre, and the supernatural still remains relevant today.

Collection Bites is an adult programme, however the content is suitable for all ages. The talks are approx. 30 minutes. They take place on the first Wednesday of each month. This talk will be in the Seminar Room on the Top Floor (accessible by stairs or lift).

Please note: Tickets are very limited. If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your booking through Eventbrite, or email museum@manchester.ac.uk to let us know, so we can offer your place to someone else.
