Wild Ways to Wellbeing Weekend

Get moving, get creative and feel good at our Wild Ways to Wellbeing Weekend.

From kids through to older adults, there will be a whole host of fun, relaxed activities on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September designed to give you a boost.

Wellbeing is linked to how we feel physically, mentally and emotionally, and a sense of wellbeing is strongly linked to life satisfaction and happiness. In short, functioning well and feeling good.

So we’ve put together a weekend of events inspired by our exhibition Wild and themed around the five ways to wellbeing. Through dancing, drawing, crafting and self-care, you’ll be encouraged to connect with one another, to be active, to take notice of the simple things that bring you joy, to learn and experience new things, and to give to others.

You can help us care for our collections and bring joy and inspiration to people in Manchester and beyond

As one of the UK’s largest university museums, we care for over 4.5 million objects, with an internationally-important collection spanning from Archaeology to Zoology, and nearly everything in between. We work with communities, support university students and schools in Manchester and beyond and we are a free, inclusive museum for all. But we need your help. Every object we care for, exhibition, school visit and community event comes at a cost, and you can help make the museum as ambitious and impactful as possible.
