Wild about birds this half term

Throughout half-term, you’ll be able to celebrate the diversity of birds, both local and global, bird-spotting around the Museum, and make your own paper birds and bird wings in our craft workshops.
We’ll also be joined by the RSPB on 15, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 23 February, ready to tell you all about your favourite winged wonders and get you involved in fun activities.

Bird Rave

All our bird-themed celebrations get underway on Saturday 15 February (11am-4pm) when you’re invited to open your wings and show off your best moves at our colourful Bird Rave.
Whether you’re a Tweetie Pie or a Big Bird, everyone in the family can lose themselves to a classic rave soundtrack, while taking in a captivating performance of ‘dancefloor ornithology’ from the Bird Rave artists.
Before hitting the dancefloor, you’ll also be able to create your own plumage in one of our workshops, running throughout the day – make sure you book your place at the Welcome Desk when you arrive! The Bird Rave dancers will perform at 2.15pm and 3.30pm, with a rave dance workshop sandwiched in-between at 2.45pm.
