Free, book tickets

The exhibition ‘Golden Mummies of Egypt’ explores ancient ways of visualising the divine. Join curators Alexandra Alberda and Campbell Price in conversation with guests, to explore narratives and image-making. Part conversation – part drawing workshop, the evening offers you the chance to draw along with and guided by members from the Belonging Gallery comics team.

Seats are limited and your free ticket includes art supplies on the night. You are also able to book a viewing time to see the ‘Golden Mummies of Egypt’ exhibition from 5-6 pm before the event starts.

Additional seating will be available on the night for anyone who wants to come along for the talk only and/or bring their own drawing materials.

Drinks not included in ticket, but available from our pop-up cafe, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, for purchase.

You can help us care for our collections and bring joy and inspiration to people in Manchester and beyond

As one of the UK’s largest university museums, we care for over 4.5 million objects, with an internationally-important collection spanning from Archaeology to Zoology, and nearly everything in between. We work with communities, support university students and schools in Manchester and beyond and we are a free, inclusive museum for all. But we need your help. Every object we care for, exhibition, school visit and community event comes at a cost, and you can help make the museum as ambitious and impactful as possible.
