From ancient mummies to giant dinosaurs, and all supported by cutting-edge research from The University of Manchester, Manchester Museum is a great starting point for inspiring and engaging learning experiences for your students.

This spring, subject to HLF funding, we embark on a major expansion project, and from September only our 1885 building will be open. This involves extensive redevelopment work between 2018 and 2020, and so our Learning Programme in its current format is being wound down to make way for new ideas, an exciting new offer, and greater capacity from 2021. If our funding bid is successful, from May 2018 some of our galleries will start to close which may affect your visit plans.

Click on the links below to find out what you can do with your students during this time. Please do follow our blog and sign up to our Early Years and Primary and Secondary and Post-16 e-newsletters to find out about opportunities to work with us on the new programmes.

Please note that all group visits, including self-led, must be booked in advance.

And don’t worry: If you have a group visit booked up to the end of March 2018, your booking still stands!
