Wellbeing is linked to how we feel physically, mentally and emotionally, and a sense of wellbeing is strongly linked to life satisfaction and happiness. In short, functioning well and feeling good.

So we’re hosting a series of monthly events focused on helping you do something good for yourself. Our Wellbeing Wednesdays therapeutic workshops are themed around the Museum’s collections and provide a chance to relax while enjoying paper play, object-based drawing and making sessions.

Taking inspiration from our Henry Dresser display in the Living Worlds gallery, you’ll have the chance to design and create your own scientific illustration.

You will be given a watercolour set and brush to explore a washed/fade-out effect, alongside other materials such as water- and non-soluble colour pencils. There will be felt pens for those who prefer darker ink that will mix and blend with your paint set.

All materials are provided and bring a waterproof bag to take your creations home.

This activity will run continuously from 3pm -8pm and will be drop-in. If you have any questions or want to find out more email karen.brackenridge@manchester.ac.uk.

*Please note we are unable to refund if you are unable or fail to attend.
