If Objects Could Speak
Creative writing workshop with Nasia Sarwar-Skuse
Have you ever owned or connected with something that holds a special memory or sparks your imagination? Whether it’s a family keepsake, a new favourite thing, or an everyday object with hidden meaning, the items can tell stories about who we are.
In this workshop, you’ll bring along a meaningful object (or a photograph of it), or discover one at the Museum, and use it as a springboard for creative writing. Together, we’ll talk about the memories that objects can carry and uncover the hidden tales.
By the end of the session, your story might even become the start of a bigger piece of writing that you wish to pen. No experience needed, just bring a pen, a notebook, and your curiosity.
Sessions are on the following dates:
Wednesday 4 June, 11am-12.30pm, Top Floor
Friday 18 July, 2.30-4.30pm, Research Studio
Saturday 19 July, 11am-1pm, Top Floor Classroom
Friday 8 August, 11am-1pm, Top Floor Classroom
