Top Floor – The Future of Education
The Top Floor will be a dynamic location focused on the future of education.
The Top Floor will be a dynamic location focused on the future of education. Social justice and environmental action will drive everything that happens in this space. It will be a hub for visitors, co-workers, artists, social enterprises and community groups; a space for people to come together to learn, share ideas, build community and make plans.
A new Education Suite will include a teaching studio, learning space and a stunning greenhouse.
Already in residence on the Top Floor is Pinc College, a specialist college for creative education for neurodiverse young people. Pinc College provides an alternative educational approach, accessing museum objects and resources, and working alongside museum staff, offers enhanced work placement and career opportunities within the cultural sector.
The future is collaborative
The top floor will include co-working/collab spaces for some of the partners and environmental charities we work with, as well as a base for the museum’s Learning and Engagement team. It will be where we do our thinking and working in public, with a dedicated space for discussions, debate and action, to bring together people from across society to build bridges, and inspire cooperation. We will challenge ourselves and visitors to envisage a better connected, sustainable and caring society.
