Stories for Brighter Futures: The Flag Design Challenge
Part of our Stan's Secret Santa celebrations
This Christmas, The Coping invites visitors to Manchester Museum to take part in a creative challenge that explores how design can tell stories for brighter futures.
Participants will receive a simple flag design brief inspired by the themes of kindness, connection, and hope — reflecting the museum’s Stan’s Secret Santa campaign and The Coping’s CARE framework (Connection, Action, Reflection, Education).
On the day, people can:
- Collect the brief, ask questions, and design their flag at the museum or
- Take it home and email their entry later.
Each flag should express a message of positivity or change — a visual story of what a brighter future means to them.
Prizes and recognition:
🏆 Winning design chosen by The Mole Creative (design agency responsible for The Coping design work)
🎟️ Tickets to Graystone Action Sports
🎨 Your design becomes the Coping Festival 2026 flag
The project brings together creativity, action sports and community storytelling — showing how creativity can connect us and inspire better futures.
