Tooth & Claw: Living alonside Britain's Predators

10 November 2007-24 February 2008

How do we really feel about our wild predators and why? Love them or loathe them, their need to kill other animals to survive provokes extreme reactions in us. Through a series of case studies led by powerful wildlife photography, this exhibition explores our fears, prejudices and inconsistencies and reminds us of our place in nature - as the most powerful predator of all.

Photographers, Peter Cairns and Mark Hamblin, have travelled extensively in Britain and to a number of overseas destinations to secure the images that make Tooth & Claw unique. They have interviewed conservationists, researchers, farmers, hunters and ecotourism operators and have gained a fascinating insight into our lives alongside Britain's predators. Tooth & Claw aims to improve knowledge and encourage tolerance towards predators and each other. As we are predators ourselves, it will explore our own place in nature and consider the future of our relationship with our wild cousins.

Tooth & Claw is great for visitors of all ages. It provides not only a visually stunning spectacle but a thought-provoking insight into our changing relationship with nature.

No one will leave indifferent.
