After The Bees
‘If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left.’ Responding to these unsettling words attributed to Albert Einstein, our latest exhibition After the Bees, presents a series of artworks exploring a poignant narrative of loss.
Shabtis The Suspended Truth
Responding to the current political debate on the subject of migration, Manchester Museum, part of The University of Manchester, has commissioned a gallery installation by Syrian-born artist Zahed Taj-Eddin, which reflects on the Museum’s world-class Egyptology collection.
For the first time, the private collection of prolific art collector George Loudon is to go on public display as part of ‘Object Lessons’ our forthcoming exhibition at Manchester Museum. The exhibition will showcase his intriguing collection of 19th century life science teaching objects, offering visitors a unique opportunity to view the natural world through the eyes of a Victorian scientist.
